# Claiming as an Heir

If you are an heir for the obvious reason, first off; Our Deepest Condolences in this time of grief. However sometimes your benefactor may have set up your trust to activate before their passing in which case congratulations for making it this far!\

Once connected to your wallet that was set as the trustee you will see the following:

You will need ETH on Base to proceed. Please see our earlier documents on how to receive some. Once you have ETH on Base simply click the Claim Inheritance button and follow the prompts in your wallet to claim your Inheritance.
